In 2054, the Ragnarok Virus is released, crashing the world’s information networks. From the chaos that ensues, a new corporate lead government rises, Global Uni-Ventures, and the world’s population is required to be registered and cataloged. Punishment for failure to register: death.
Paul Dayton is one of a small percentage who choose not to register and live a life in the shadows. These people in the shadows eventually create their own hidden society but are eventually folded into the new world as warriors in GUV’s corporate state wars. They become known as Stalkers.
Dayton has always struggled with his role in this world and tries to join society by mapping himself into the Register. Years later, the consequences of this force him back to his old team as they fight for survival against a foe they don’t know. Dayton must face the reality of his own actions, the rebellion he was once a central figure and legend of, and decide what is more important: himself, or the world.
